Hi. I'm Jen (she/her).
As a doula, photographer, and lactation consultant, I draw upon many years of experience supporting thousands of families through labor, birth, and the early postpartum period as a labor, delivery, and postpartum nurse. As a parent myself, I understand the many emotions tangled up in this wild and fleeting time. My passion for supporting families extends into my portrait work, where I strive to preserve the essence of these moments for years to come.
Experience & Education
I am a photographer, doula, and Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with 15 years of experience working with birthing families. I am passionate about providing chest/breastfeeding guidance to help families get their feeding journey off to the best start possible, and have supported a wide variety of family constellations and birth styles including: unmedicated birth, water birth, epidural assisted birth, cesarean birth, vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC), stillbirth, twins and triplets, LGBTQ+ families, surrogacy, single parents, and families who have experienced previous miscarriage and loss.

More about me...
Knitting is another creative pursuit of mine. I enjoy knitting hats for the newborns I photograph.
I feel most centered when I am in, on, or near the water. All three of my own children were born in the water: one at a hospital, and two at home.
I’m a naturally quiet, calm and steady person, but am also adventurous. I like to muck about in nature and go exploring with my husband and three children. Ella, our dog, likes to tag along, too.
