Labor and Delivery Photographer
Prior to becoming a full-time photographer, I was a labor and delivery nurse for over 12 years, and had the honor of witnessing over a thousand births. As a nurse, I observed that it was overwhelmingly common for new parents to feel unprepared and alone in their experiences of pregnancy, birth, and parenting. As a doula and labor and delivery photographer, it is an honor to guide families through their journey into parenthood, see them grow into parenthood with confidence.
Knitting is another creative pursuit of mine. I enjoy knitting hats for the newborns I photograph.
I feel most centered when I am in, on, or near the water. All three of my own children were born in the water: one at a hospital, and two at home!
I’m a naturally quiet, calm and steady person, but am also adventurous and a bit of a risk taker. I like to muck about in nature and go exploring with my husband and three children. Ella, our dog, likes to tag along, too.
